The PAst

In 2021, as a rookie, Austin won ten Formula races and accumulated 21 podium finishes. His most significant accomplishment was earning a podium finish at the SCCA National Runoffs at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

At 14, he was the youngest driver to ever stand on the podium at the SCCA National Runoffs and the youngest on the stage at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He was the youngest driver to win a Formula Atlantic and a F2000 race with SCCA Pro Series FRP. Winning the Formula Atlantic Championship with SCCA Pro Series FRP made him the youngest champion in the FRP Series history.

In 2022, Austin raced in SCCA Pro Series Formula Race Promotions in the F2000 and Atlantic Championship series. He took on a new car for 2022, the Ligier F3, to defend his Formula Atlantic championship title. Austin would take six of the ten wins with three second places and one third to clinch the 2022 title again. In the F2000 series, he took two wins and only finished off the podium five times in 2022 to repeat as the Vice Champion 2022.

In SCCA, Austin raced in the FX and Formula Atlantic races. At the Runoffs, he finished second in the FX class and third in the Formula Atlantic class.

In 2023, Austin expanded his racing resume by adding new classes, including the Spec MX5 car and a Trans Am series car in the XGT class. Also, Austin was finally old enough to race in the Formula Regional Championship with the F3 car. He started adapting to sports cars with the new vehicles and learning a different driving pattern. Austin ran the Trans AM car at Road Atlanta, where we began to shake the car down some. The team found they had more engineering to do and decided to work this season to get it right for 2024.

The Spec MX5 was built in the off-season for the 2023 season. Austin and the team found issues and different driving styles in the first couple of races. Austin then teamed up with Advanced Autosports, and started to find his groove. With the competitiveness of the cars and talent in this class, Austin is excited to see what next year brings for the team in this car.

In the F3, Austin had a goal to win his third SCCA Pro FRP Formula Atlantic Championship, which he did with six wins and one second place finish in eight races. In the FR America series, Austin had mechanical issues when the team figured them out, Austin posted the fast time of the race at Mid-Ohio and finished with a couple of top-five finishes against a stellar field from all over the world.

In 2024, Austin raced several different classes with a few different cars. He focused on the SCCA Hoosier Super Tour races with SMX and STL. He finished second in the STL class in points and just outside the top-ten in SMX. Austin learned a lot this past season, with it being the first full season in sports cars. He won a couple of races and even secured podium finishes quite a few times. He is learning more as he goes. Austin had the Trans Am Series Corvette finished and ready for laps at the end of the 2024 season and was excited to see what this car could do on track.

Austin Hill competed in select events in 2025 as he focused on his schooling. Now a Freshman at The Ohio State University in Mechanical Engineering, Hill will run a more in depth schedule in 2026 combined with his “Rookie” season at University. Partnering with another team for the purchase of a NASCAR Xfinity car for the road course events, Hill will also see action in SCCA and the Trans Am Series Presented by Pirelli.
