History on the cars and class

USF2000 has served as a formative step for drivers dating back to 1990. Drivers who have honed their skills in the series include Indy 500 winners Dan Wheldon, Sam Hornish Jr. and Buddy Rice and sports car talents Lawson Aschenbach, Austin Cindric, Andy Lally, Bryan Sellars and Jonathan Bomarito. Recent graduates include Spencer Pigot, Colton Herta, Zach Veach, Oliver Askew and Rinus VeeKay to name a few.

With Covid hitting last year we still competed in 47 total races.

Austin was invited at the age of 13 to come run with the FRP Series at Pittsburgh in the Formula car. With needing to be 14 years old to actually run this was an honor. He was the third ever to get the honor to race them at the age of 13. First time in the car qualifying better than half the field and finishing in the top half both days.  He was asked after the race if he wanted to come to Road Atlanta and finish out there season with them. Qualified in the top 5 both days and finish 4th on Friday and 5th on Saturday. We are looking forward to the opportunity for next year and what it holds.

Austin is currently in the 8th Grade and is an honor roll student at Adena Local Schools. Those around him characterize him as a smart, fun loving, dedicated, and big-hearted kid. His studies always come first but when he is not doing that you will find him working on his cars or practicing on his simulator. He also enjoys volunteering at the local church food pantry with his grandparents. He aspires to follow in the footsteps of drivers listed above and speed his way into Indy racing. With the support of his family, prior sponsors, and the racing family along his journey, we hope to one day see him in victory lane.
